Take a poll – is Halloween in Germany a good idea?

Scot Stevenson of USAErklärt thinks Halloween is the best thing since sliced bread (or probably even since before sliced bread, as Halloween has been around much longer.) What do you think?

I’ve been invited to what looks like a fun Halloween party by a lovely American friend next week, so I’m unexpectedly finding myself all in favour of the holiday this year.

  1. I just left my vote on the PollDaddy gadget (looks rather sleek, I must say). I don’t like Halloween, but that shouldn’t keep you from thoroughly enjoying the party you’ve been invited to ;-)

  2. It’s a cool little application, isn’t it? I wouldn’t have minded a skin with a BarackOLantern in the corner somewhere, but this was the scariest I could get. I’m a little annoyed by the full stop between tawdry and consumerism.

  3. I was raised next to an Amerikanische Siedlung. It was always so cool – but as a german, you are never really part of it. When the americans left Germany, that day I cried.

  4. I just voted, too. Somehow, I would have liked to spread my vote over three choices.
